Privacy policy

Effective October 25, 2026. This policy covers GovBot Product Recalls at recalls.govbot.ai, operated by Ideation Lab, Corp.

Information processed and purposes

The service processes tool arguments such as vehicle identification numbers (VINs), makes, models and model years, NHTSA campaign numbers, product and firm search words, FDA classifications, dates and recall numbers to retrieve public recall records. A VIN identifies a vehicle, not its owner; the service uses it only to answer the request and holds no owner, registration or title data. It processes network and request metadata, including IP address, time, route, response status and user agent, to operate and protect the service. It does not require an account, use advertising cookies or collect payment information. Do not include names, health information or other sensitive personal data in tool arguments.

Recipients

Google Cloud hosts the gateway and processes operational request metadata. GovBot’s data service processes lookup arguments. NHTSA receives the VIN, make, model, model year or campaign number needed for a live source request; FDA's openFDA service receives the search words, filters and recall number. We do not forward caller credentials or identities to any agency. The client you use, such as Claude, processes your conversation and returned records under its own privacy policy.

Retention

Operational request logs are retained for 30 days. The gateway and data service do not log tool arguments, request bodies or returned records. Source responses are held in process memory for up to six hours to avoid repeat requests and are not written to storage. Rate-limit identifiers are held in process memory and cleared within 60 seconds.

Your choices and contact

You can stop using or disconnect the service at any time and manage conversation history through your client. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@govbot.ai. Do not send credentials or sensitive personal information.
